Laugh & feel good each day. More than once a day!

Especially after your stroke, you need to both laugh and feel good every day. I do. I look for inspiration. I find something that’s funny. Every Day!

Hello – I am Brent Calhoun. I am a veterinarian. I had 2 strokes in 2010. When I was young, I used to watch television all the time in the 1960s and 1970s. One of the people I always loved was Milton Berle. He was an American comedian and actor. His career as an entertainer spanned over 80 years. He was the first major American television star and was known to millions of viewers as “Uncle Miltie” and “Mr. Television.” He was born in 1908 and died in 2002.

One of his famous quotes is “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” I can hear him delivering that line in his dry sense of humor. The amazing irony is that it is inspiring before it was funny when he would say it.

Remember, search every day all around you for inspiration and laughter that waits to be discovered!
