Use the right food possible for healing your brain!

Have you ever wondered if there is a close connection between the food you choose to eat and your brain health? Are you giving yourself the best possible food so your brain heals? I found that there was a direct connection between what I ate and how I felt. I adopted the low carbohydrate, high fat (LCHF ) way of eating over 6 years ago. I use the myfitnesspal app to track my food. It has made a huge difference.

Four foods that I love and you need to consider adding to your weekly cuisine. They are:

Avocado – either by itself, guacamole, or mixed with other foods.
Fish – salmon, tuna, herring, and cod to start mixing in your recipes.
Eggs – hard-boiled or cooked or mixed with other foods.
Seeds – sunflower, pumpkin, chia, and flax to start.

There are many other sources of fat and protein for LCHF plans include cheese, butter, good oils, nuts, dark leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, Brussels sprouts, carrots, certain berries, and some small portions of melons, peaches, and apples.

If you cannot stomach fish, then at least take fish oil supplements daily. If you are vegan, I will recommend some yummy foods for you to consider in a later post. If you feel great 1-2 hours after you consume it, keep the food in your plan. If you feel bad or groggy, consider replacing it. Have fun and experiment with the ways you feel with some of the foods you eat regularly.
